The rights and obligations of the employee are found withing the Labour Code.
According to the law, the employee has the following main rights:
- the right to receive a salary for the performed work;
- the right to daily and weekly rest;
- the right to annual rest leave;
- the right to equal chances and treatment;
- the right to labor safety and health;
- the right to professional training;
- any other rights provided by law or by the applicable collective labour agreements, as the case may be.
According to the law, the employee has the following main obligations:
- the obligation to complete the work norm or, as applicable, to meet the duties set forth in the job description;
- the obligation to respect the work discipline;
- the obligation of fidelity towards the employer while performing her/his job duties;
- the obligation to respect labor safety and health measures;
- the obligation to respect the confidentiality of information and documents used while performing work duties;
- the obligation to join a privately administered pension fund;
- the obligation to respect the employer’s internal provisions, the applicable internal policies and procedures;
- the obligation to accomplish the individual performance objectives, as well as to know the criteria for assessing her/his professional activity;
- other obligations regulated by the law or the employer’s internal provisions.
